POLSON — A 28-year old man has been charged with arson and criminal endangerment, both felonies, after allegedly setting fire to a travel trailer that contained ammunition.

According to a court document, Lake County deputy attorney Ben Anciaux wrote that Nathan Taylor Wise had a fight with his girlfriend at the home of her friend in the 72000 block of Kaltomee Lane in Arlee on Nov. 2. Wise then allegedly left the residence, went to an adjacent travel trailer and set it ablaze.

Wise’s girlfriend owned property inside the trailer, Anciaux wrote, but ammunition was also inside. Once the fire was set, the ammo started going off while Wise’s girlfriend and another man approached the trailer.

No one was injured as a result of the fire or the exploding ammunition, and firefighters were able to put the fire out.

Wise is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 1. in Lake County District Court.
