FLORENCE — Arlee High School boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Florence Saturday to challenge the Falcons and Lady Falcons.

Trailing 23-6 at the end of the first quarter, the Arlee Scarlets managed to battle back led by Carly Hergett’s 15 points. However, a barrage of 3-pointers from the Falcons gave the visiting Scarlets their first loss of the season.

The Warriors, last season’s Class C state championship runner-up, manhandled the Class B Falcons, 76-61. Will Mesteth, Phillip Malatare and Tyler Tanner all scored 19 points for the victorious Warriors.
