Lake County Justice Court news for Oct. 11, 2017

Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Sept. 15-28:

The following individuals pleaded guilty to speeding: Richard Stanley Lamach, 47, fined $35; Gregory Charles Harlow, 30, fined $235; William Dean Nipps, 57, fined $85; Kimberly Joy Dietz, 54, fined $20; Keryl McCarty Lozar, 64, fined $55; Lily Johannah Sparks, 36, fined $55; Robert Duane Cushing, 54, fined $20; Devlin Reanne Foubert, 24, fined $70; Abigail Sue Hoos, 28, fined $170; Clarence Jeffs Wayman, 23, fined $70; Kayla E. Laughlin, 29, fined $85.

Tiffany Cura Kent, 29, pleaded not guilty to careless driving. She was found guilty and fined $50.

Warren Edward James, 35, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving. He was found guilty and fined $100, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.

Edward Charles Dumont, 40, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for ROW violation, failing to yield to approaching traffic (immediate hazard) when making left turn.

George Edward Dean, 74, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Jay A. Greene, 52, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for failure to stop at Invasive Species Management area check station.

Curtis Dean Franks, 30, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $100, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

Raewyn Violet Stine, 54, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $600, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended.

James Dylan Josephson, 34, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to have a child 6 years old and less than 60 pounds properly restrained.

Jean Fossen Oraw, 57, forfeited $35 in court costs for insufficient personal flotation devices.

Krystal Dawn Goodsell, 29, pleaded guilty to intoxicated pedestrian walking or standing on roadway or shoulder. She was fined $10 and charged $35 in court costs. Goodsell also pleaded guilty to obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. She was fined $120 and charged $85 in court costs.

Zachary Lee Relles, 22, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was fined $1500 with $900 suspended, charged $85 in court costs, had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months and sentenced to 1 day in jail.
