POLSON – A Ronan man faces charges of burglary, theft and tampering with evidence after he allegedly stole items from Mission Mountain Enterprises, and a warrant has been issued for another man’s arrest.

According to a court document, the stolen items valued at more than $5,000 include notebook and tablet computers, a TV, bottles of alcohol and a 2011 Chevy Malibu.

A maintenance man had reported that he heard someone inside Mission Mountain Enterprises at 5 a.m. Aug. 27, the court document states.

Aaron James Jolstead, 30, was stopped on Sept. 10 while driving the Malibu in Okanogan, Washington, according to the court document.

Jolstead said he, Stone Daniel Garfield and a woman broke into Mission Mountain Enterprises at 330 Main St. SW in Ronan on Aug. 27, the document states. The woman, who as of last week had not been charged, entered a window at the business where Jolstead’s mother works and let Garfield into the building, Jolstead said. The woman claimed the vehicle could be sold in Omak, Washington, Jolstead said.

On Sept. 5 a woman who reported the theft of property from her residence said that Garfield had been staying there for several days. Law enforcement found computers and chargers in Garfield’s backpack at the residence, the court document states. The items were later identified as stolen from Mission Mountain Enterprises, according to the court document.

Garfield, age and city of residence unavailable, has been charged with burglary and theft and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
