Football

ARLEE – The Arlee Warriors football team snagged three separate all-state awards and added six more all-conference honors between first-team, second-team and third-team offense and defense.

Senior running back Will Mesteth, senior George Shick and senior Rory Bird all receive all-state honors.

Mesteth, Shick, Bird, junior quarterback Lane Schall and junior Chase Gardner all nabbed offense and defense all-conference awards, while senior punter Reece Doney grabbed all-conference first-team defense honors.

 

Basketball

STEVENSVILLE - Shade Main’s 18 points spurred the Polson Pirates to a 57-53 win at Stevensville on Saturday in a Class A matchup. 

The teams were tied at both the half and at the beginning of the fourth quarter. 

Main was backed up by teammates Robin Erickson, 10 points, and Connor Lanier, nine points.

Logan Roth scored a game high 26 points for the Yellowjackets.

 

FRENCHTOWN – Both the Charlo Vikings girls and boys basketball teams split their games during the Class C Tip-Off tourney in Frenchtown on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the Vikings overwhelmed the Valley Christian Eagles 63-23. Viking Tyson Petticrew led all scorers with 32 points. 

The Drummond Trojans on Saturday jumped out to an early 18-4 first quarter lead and never looked back in a 49-33 victory over the Vikings. Landers Smith led the Vikings with 11 points.

The Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats narrowly slipped by the Lady Vikings 35-33 on Friday. Kaitlin Cox and Tyrah Hammond both led the Lady Vikings with seven points.

Charlo’s Kaitlin Cox had a game high 15 points on Saturday as the Lady Vikings defeated Drummond 33-21. Carlee Fryberger added six points for the Lady Vikings.
