POLSON — With the fire season being almost over, it brings to mind a question I’ve always wondered about; why is it that one careless match can start a forest fire, whereas it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Cris Alter’s 242 score and Dave Basta’s 234 score were the high games for women and men at Tuesday’s senior bowling. The same two also had the highest series. Claudia Barry and hubby Jesse, had the highest handicap series scores.
The menu for the coming week is:
— Thursday, Oct. 18: baked fish loaf, potato wedges
— Friday, Oct. 19: sausage gravy biscuits
— Monday, Oct. 22: beef barley soup, egg salad sandwich
— Tuesday, Oct. 23: chicken pot pie, biscuit
— Wednesday, Oct. 24: hash-brown bake, link sausage
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Vegetables and a dessert are included with your meals.
