Boys Basketball

Mission Bulldogs

On Friday, The Mission Bulldogs five-game win streak came to a halt on the road against second-ranked Missoula Loyola 85-57. Lucas Vanderburg led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Jacob Hugs netted 13 points. 

Two Eagle River Eagles

Visiting St. Regis Tigers outscored the Two Eagle River Eagles 66-37 in a District 14C match-up on Friday evening.

On Saturday, the hosting Clark Fork Mountain Cats outlasted the Eagles in a close 46-44 home win. Both Dom Finley and Travis Pierre scored 12 points to lead the Eagles.

Arlee Warriors

The Arlee Warriors cruised to an 84-21 road victory on Saturday over Noxon for 7-1 on the season. Greg Whitesell scored a game-high 24 points to pace the Warriors. Cody Tanner netted 16 points. Isaac Fisher scored 14 points for the Warriors.

Charlo Vikings

A 20-10 third quarter Friday game gave the Charlo Vikings a 45-44 comeback win over hosting Seeley Swan Blackhawks. Landers Smith’s game-high 22 points helped push the Vikings past the Blackhawks to remain undefeated on the season.

Polson Pirates

On Saturday, the Polson Pirates made two wins in a row with a close 47-44 road win over the Columbia Falls Wildcats.

Micah Askan led the Pirates with 15 points.

 

Girls Basketball

Mission Lady Bulldogs

Sydney Brander scored a Mission Lady Bulldog team high 10 points in a 70-32 loss to visiting Missoula Loyola on Friday evening. Loyola held the Lady Bulldogs to only five points in the first quarter.

Two Eagle River Lady Eagles

The Two Eagle River Lady Eagles fell 59-5 to the visiting St. Regis Lady Tigers on Friday evening. Lady Eagle Lulani Miller scored a team high four points. On Saturday, TaRae GoodLuck led all Lady Eagle shooters with eight points in the 61-18 road loss to the Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats.

Arlee Scarlets

Arlee’s 67-28 blowout of Noxon on Saturday included a game high 20 points from Scarlet Alyssia Vanderburg. Louetta Conko-Camel added 15 points and Nellie Desjarlais chipped in with 11 points for Arlee.

Charlo Lady Vikings

On Friday, the Charlo Lady Vikings scored a 51-33 road win over the Seeley Swan Lady Blackhawks. The win gives the Lady Vikings their eighth win in a row on the season.

Polson Lady Pirates

The Lady Pirates on Saturday fell at home 81-25 to the Columbia Falls Wildkats in Western Class A action. 

Mossy Kauley paced the Lady Pirates with seven points.

 

Wrestling

Hunter Fritsch was on the championship mat during the Tom LeProwse Invitation in Bozeman on Saturday, but the Polson Pirate senior had to settle for the runner-up medal in the 170-pound class. As a team, the Pirates finished 15th with 63.5 points out of a field of 32 teams. Joining Fritsch on the winner’s podium were Bridger Wenzel at 152-pounds in fifth place and Rene Pierre at 113-pounds in sixth place.
