Boys Basketball

Arlee Warriors

Cody Tanner nailed a buzzer-beating three-pointer giving the Arlee Warriors a 68-66 road victory over the Loyola Sacred Heart Rams on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Lane Johnson led the Warriors with 18 points followed by Greg Whitesell with 17 points. 

On Thursday evening, the Warriors clinched the District 14-C regular season title and finished the season at home with an 18-1 record with a 64-53 win over Class 14C rival Charlo Vikings. Isaac Fisher scored a Warrior team-high 17 points. Johnson added 14 points, and Whitesell chipped in with 11 points.

Mission Bulldogs

The Mission Bulldogs outscored the visiting Thompson Falls Bluehawks 78-50 on Thursday evening. The Bulldogs headed into the locker room with a 46-20 lead. In the first quarter, the Bulldogs held the score 26-11 and continued to add points with a 20-9 second quarter.  Jedi Christy led the Bulldogs with a game-high 17 points. Lucas Vanderburg scored 16 points, Flint McPherson netted 15 points, and Wacey McClure followed up with 11 points. In a home game Saturday, Mission defeated the visiting Deer Lodge Wardens 66-52. Christy and McPherson led the Bulldog shooters with 17 points followed by Jacob Hugs with 12 points.

Ronan Chiefs

The Ronan Chiefs slipped past the visiting Whitefish Bulldogs 66-64 on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Ronan Community Center. Dallas Durheim scored a game-high 24 points for the Chiefs followed by Bubba Bush with 17 points and Jacob Gatch with 15 points. On the road Thursday, the Chiefs defeated the Corvallis Blue Devils 69-60. Durheim scored 11 points, and Jacob Gatch netted 18 points. Anthony Camel scored a game-high 32 points.

Polson Pirates

The visiting Bigfork Vikings defeated the Polson Pirates 64-33 on Thursday evening. Parker Toth and Robin Erickson both led the Pirates with eight points each. On Saturday, the Pirates closed the regular season on the road with a 48-42 loss to the Libby Loggers.

 Charlo Vikings

Charlo Viking Landers Smith scored a game-high 20 points against the Arlee Warrior in a 64-53 road loss on Thursday evening. For the Vikings, Connor Koenig scored 16 points and Nate Delaney had 12.

Two Eagle River Eagles

On Saturday evening, the Two Eagle River Eagles fell 65-41 to the hosting Plains Horsemen. Anthony Charlo paced the Eagles with 10 points.

Girls Basketball

Arlee Scarlets

Alyssia Vanderburg paced the Arlee Scarlets with 21 points in a 70-62 road loss to the Loyola Breakers on Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Missoula. For the Scarlets, Nellie Desjarlais scored 16 points and Noelle West had 10. The Scarlets, on Thursday evening, ended their regular season at home with a 51-43 loss to the Charlo Lady Vikings. Vanderburg scored a game-high 18 points for the Scarlets, while Louetta Conko-Camel scored 13 points. Desjarlais added 10 points.

Mission Lady Bulldogs

On Thursday, Addison Arlint scored a team-high 13 points as the Mission Lady Bulldogs defeated the visiting Thompson Falls Lady Bluehawks 53-38. Azia Umphrey scored 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Ronan Maidens

In Whitefish on Feb. 5, the Ronan Maidens won a 35-29 Northwestern A matchup over the Lady Bulldogs.

On Thursday evening, the Maidens wrapped up their regular season with a 55-43 loss to the visiting Corvallis Lady Bulldogs. Aislyn Baker and Tiana Ulutoa both scored a team-high 10 points for the Maidens.

Polson Lady Pirates

Both Mahala Buffalo and Karly Lawson led the Polson Lady Pirates with nine points in the 68-32 road loss to the Bigfork Valkyries. The Lady Pirates wrapped up the regular season with a 52-17 road loss to the Libby Lady Loggers on Saturday.

Charlo Lady Vikings

Both Kaitlyn Cox and Carlee Fryberger scored 16 points each to lead the Charlo Lady Vikings to a 51-43 road victory over the Arlee Scarlets on Thursday evening.

Two Eagle River Lady Eagles

Tarae Goodluck scored a Two Eagle River Lady Eagles team-high nine points in a 68-11 road loss to the Plains Trotters on Saturday.
