Law enforcement makes multiple drug busts

LAKE COUNTY – Four unrelated drug busts in a 24-hour period kept the Lake County Sherriff’s Office extra busy last week.
The criminal activity started early on Monday, June 3, at 6:25 a.m. when 28-year-old Seth Williams, of Polson, was arrested in Ronan. Lake County Sheriff Don Bell reported that one of his deputies found Williams parked in the middle of Baptiste Road. He was sleeping in the car. The officer arrested Williams for criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
About an hour later at 7:30 a.m., Jordan Pluff, of Polson, was arrested by another deputy. A Lake County Sheriff’s canine detected drugs in the vehicle following traffic stop. The officer searched the vehicle and found “user amounts” of suspected heroin and methamphetamines were located. Pluff also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for absconding from probation. He was booked into the Lake County jail.
During the third arrest of the day, the United States Marshals and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police assisted the Sheriff’s Office. Nigel Ernst, 38, of Charlo, was arrested on a federal warrant. Before his arrest, law enforcement found 19.5 grams of suspected heroin on him. He was charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to distribute.
The drug-related arrest streak wrapped up on Tuesday, June 4, at 1:00 a.m. after a deputy made a traffic stop and found more drugs. David Martinez, 50, of Missoula, was arrested for outstanding warrants and charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also found to be a probation absconder with multiple outstanding warrants.
