Fair entries due this week
News from Lake County Fair: The Lake County Fair is right around the corner. Entries are due Thursday, July 18, for community members wishing to bring exhibits to the fair. The 2019 fair kicks off with the 4-H Horse Show on Saturday, July 20, at 9 a.m., followed by the shotgun competition at Big Sky Sporting Clays in Polson on Sunday. The following week will bring a variety of competitions along with the Market Livestock Buyers Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, July 25, at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Market Livestock Sale at 7 p.m. For information on the fair, call 406-676-4271 or 406-676-8660.
Volunteers ready to clean
Pablo Church of the Nazarine has volunteers that are working at doing clean up, yard work, painting, staining and the like. They are volunteering for Lake County Community Housing, a 501C(3) that provides affordable housing throughout Lake County. They will be working at Sparrow Lane and Warbler Drive in Pablo and Boettcher Terrace Apartments at Tenth Ave. E in Polson. Pastor Matthew Connally can be reached at 406-675-0081.
