ST. IGNATIUS — We are excited to have our soft opening on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the St. Ignatius Senior Citizen’s Center. On the menu are Indian tacos, served by our staff. We will all need to observe social distancing and wear masks except when eating, of course. People will need to find a place to sit after entering, instead of walking around, but I’m sure we can still all connect. I am excited to meet our meal participants. There will be bingo afterward and we will explain our safety measures regarding the bingo cards when we play.
Menu:
— Friday, Sept. 25: hamburger casserole, veggie, fruit and no-bake cookies
— Tuesday, Sept. 29: soup, sandwich, green salad, fruit and cook’s choice
October menus will be available next week.
Our meals will continue to be delivered or picked up at noon on Tuesdays, Fridays, and the first and third Wednesdays of the month. So far, the only other in-house meal we have scheduled is on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 5:30 p.m. On the days we have evening meals, there will be no meal deliveries.
If you are planning on attending the evening meal, please let us know before 2 p.m. on that day. Our board will decide next month on the status of eating at the center.
