We now have 10 T-Mobile Wi-Fi hotspots available for a seven-day checkout with a North Lake County Public Library card. The hotspot project is funded in part with Library Services and Technology Act funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Montana State Library.  Hotspots are great for road trips, camping, hunting, school work, watching movies – anything you need Internet for and where there is a cellular signal. You can even connect multiple devices at the same time to one hotspot. You can place holds on these through our online catalog or give us a call.

Now that we are fully into fall, it is time for a visit to our Digital Resources webpage at: You will find many great tools like Creativebug for recipes and craft projects, Kanopy for movies and educational films, and Flipster digital magazines for all of those great fall comfort food recipes. All of this is available with a library card. If you don’t have a library card, it is really easy to get one and they are free. Stop into the library and get signed up today.

Bat week is Oct. 24 – 31, this year, and Angela has really gone batty with ideas to celebrate. Watch for displays and online programs during this week. On Friday, Oct. 30, little trick or treaters can stop into the library for a sweet treat. We love seeing your costumes.

If you haven’t already heard, we are now fine-free on most items. If you’ve been cleaning out closets and found some library books or found that DVD due in 2014 under your car seat – bring them back. Drop them in the book drop or inside and we will clear your account of the lost item charges. We not only want our items back; we want you back – so please feel free to return those long lost library materials, that are now found, and plan a visit to see what’s new at the library.

The library is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The library is open 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays for those individuals who are considered to be high risk.  Curbside pickup is available for everyone from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday–Friday. Masks are required. The library will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 31, but we are open on Monday, Oct. 12. Please call us at 406-883-8225 or email us at:, with questions or to request curbside pick up.
