LAKE COUNTY — The Mission Lady Bulldogs and Arlee Scarlets kicked off postseason volleyball in the Mission Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

In Class 6B action, the Scarlets saw their playoff hopes end by the visiting Deer Lodge Lady Wardens in a 3-1 loss. With the loss, the Scarlets finish the season with a 5-13 overall record. Jerny Crawford had three kills, a block and 17 digs. Xaria Johnson had two aces, 17 assists and eight digs. Rheid Crawford posted four aces and 21 digs. 

In Class 7B play, the Mission Lady Bulldogs defeated the visiting Troy Lady Trojans 25-23, 25-17, 25-14 and now move to district playoffs. 

The Lady Bulldogs faced the number-one seed Thompson Falls Lady Blue Hawks on the road in first-round action on Thursday. The dawgs fell in straight sets 25-14, 25-10, 25-13, ending their 2020 season.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, as the second-seed team out of the Northwest, the Polson Lady Pirates will host the highest-seeded winner from the play-in matches. The matches will be between third-place Hamilton players versus sixth place Dillon. The matches continue with fourth-place Stevensville players versus fifth-place Butte Central in the first round of the Western A Divisional.

The Ronan Maidens will look to continue their season when they host Browning on Wednesday in a play-in matchup.
