Boys Basketball

Ronan Chiefs

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Ronan Chiefs fell 50-42 to the hosting Whitefish Bulldogs. Elijah Tonasket booked a game-high 18 points for the Chiefs. Girma Detwiler scored 11 points. Leonard Burke scored a Ronan team-high 19 points Thursday night as the hosting Columbia Falls Wild-cats narrowly slipped past the Chiefs 56-55 in Northwestern A action.

Mission Bulldogs

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, Mission Bulldog Zoran LaFrombois lit up the scoreboard with a season- and game-high 33 points against the Florence Falcons, and Ross McPherson scored 10 points in the 68-54 loss to Florence.

Four Bulldogs scored in the double digits Friday night game in a 76-45 road win over the Troy Trojans. LaFrombois scored a team-high 16 points, John Komotios scored 11 points, while both Layne Spidel and Kellen McClure each chipped in 10 points.

Arlee Warriors

On Thursday, the Arlee Warriors wrapped up their 2020-21 regular season at home with a 68-53 loss to the Anaconda Copperheads. The Warriors finish the year with a 0-13 overall rec-ord. 

Polson Pirates

Jarrett Wilson and Colton Graham combined for 47 points on Thursday night leading the Polson Pirates to a 72-55 home win over the Browning Indians. Wilson scored 24 points. Graham scored 23 points. Also scoring in the double digits for the Pirates was Xavier Fisher with 16 points.

 

Girls Basketball

Ronan Maidens

Jaylea Lunceford and Jaeleigh Gatch each posted a Ronan Maiden team-high six points on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in a 43-30 home loss to the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs. On Thursday, Gatch posted a team-high 12 points in a 56-38 home loss to the Columbia Falls Wildkats.

Polson Lady Pirates

Both McKenna Hanson and Mossy Kauley led the Polson Lady Pirates by scoring seven points each during the Feb. 15, Monday, home game against the Browning Lady Indians. Browning defeated the Lady Pirates 49-29 in a makeup game that had been previously scheduled earlier this month. Hanson scored 11 points to lead the Lady Pirates on the road Thursday evening in 75-34 loss to the Browning Lady Indians.

Arlee Scarlets

Playing on Thursday, the Arlee Scarlets finished their 2020-21 regular season with an overall mark of 1-12 with a 67-12 road loss to the Anaconda Lady Copperheads. McKirah Fisher posted a Scarlet team-high five points on the night.

Mission Lady Bulldogs

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Mission Lady Bulldogs fell 48-35 to the hosting Florence Falcons. Izzy Evans scored 10 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Bulldogs outscored the visiting Troy Lady Trojans 59-16 in Class B action on Friday evening. Kooper Page scored a Lady Bulldogs team-high 13 points and Evans scored 11 points Saturday afternoon in a 66-48 road loss to the Missoula Loyola Breakers.

 

Wrestling

Mission/Charlo Bulldogs

On Thursday, the Mission/Charlo Bulldogs picked up pin wins from Isaiah Fields (126), Canyon Sargent (152) and Deago Hostetler (205) in a 42-24 road loss to Jefferson.

Ronan Chiefs

Battling in a tri-meet in Polson Friday night, the Ronan Chiefs fell 54-12 to the Frenchtown Broncs. For the Chiefs, Caleb Cheff (145) picked up a pin win, while Beaudean Decker (132) and Tristan Fisher (182) each won their matches by decision.

Polson Pirates

Hosting a triangular event on Friday, the Polson Pirates were defeated by the Frenchtown Broncs 61-6. Winning with a pin, Gavin Knutson (132) snagged the lone points for the Pirates on the evening.
