Mission tennis toughs out rough week

The Mission tennis teams had their share of ups and downs as they took on a busy week on the court. The Lady Bulldogs fell in two and came up with a tie in the three showdowns, while the Bulldogs posted a split.
On Thursday the Lady Bulldogs took a 4-2 loss against Superior-Alberton. Kayla Billette and Daisie VandenBos were the only two to win their matches.
Friday showed a 4-1 win for the boys, a 3-3 tie for the girls against Bigfork and a 4-1 Lady Bulldog victory against Eureka. Billette, VandenBos and Briar Ahlborn each won their respective matches with Billette taking it into a tie breaker in the Bigfork romp. Against Eureka, VandeBos and Tkaya Byrd-Ennis each put up a double-bagel win with Billette walking away with a 6-0, 6-1 W. Bulldog Andrew Esslinger only gave up one game winning his match 6-0, 6-1. Karl Daniels, Jamie Mullins, and Nate Doll all won their matches sweeping in the singles.
On Saturday Mission came up short at Troy with both teams taking a fall. Esslinger and Steven Bravo each scored wins for the boys while the Lady Bulldogs only posted a single win by VanderBos.
Mission will compete at the Bigfork Flight Tournament April 19.
