Fire
Polson Rural Fire responded to a fully involved fire off River Breaks Road late Thursday night. A large haystack, shed, and equipment were fully engulfed. Polson Rural responded with a type 1 engine, four type 3 engines, one engine-tender, and two tenders along with 21 personnel. In addition, Ronan and Polson City each sent a tender. Despite a large volume of fire on arrival, the fire was contained and kept from spreading to an adjoining haystack and sheds. Nearly 20,000 gallons of water were used. The cause is under investigation.
