Mission Valley Animal Shelter

POLSON – The Mission Valley Animal Shelter’s new fundraiser to benefit the shelter, “Paws & Pints,” is on tap Thursday, Sept. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at Glacier Brewing Company in Polson.

Tickets to the event are $25 and includes one free pint glass, filled. A silent auction of prints from local artists and live music is being provided by Gladys Unplugged. A hot “dog” dinner will be available.

“We think this event will be a lot of fun and encourage everyone to come check it out. There will be drawings for some fantastic door prizes as well,” Sharon Hawke, MVAS vice president said.

All proceeds benefit the animal shelter.

Tickets are being sold at the shelter on North Reservoir Road and at the shelter’s thrift store, Seconds 2 Go, in Polson. Tickets may also be obtained from any member of the Board of Directors of MVAS and will be available at the door.

In addition to the Paws & Pints fundraiser, the shelter is also conducting its Cat/Griz Showdown by selling merchandise with Griz and Bobcat logos.

“We have some wonderful collars and leashes featuring either University of Montana or Montana State University for sale available right now at the shelter and at our thrift store, Seconds 2 Go,” Hawke said.

The merchandise will also be available for sale at the Paws & Pints event.

“Show your loyalty to your team and get bragging rights at the Cat/Griz game on Nov. 22 … for the most collars and leashes sold. Outfit your four-legged friends in this stylish apparel to show your support of both your school and the animal shelter,” Hawke added.

For more information, call the Shelter at (406) 883-5312 or visit the Shelter’s Facebook page at Mission Valley Animal Shelter. To view dogs and cats available for adoption, please view www.missionvalleyanimalshelter.org.
