ST. IGANTIUS – The Scarlets looked at a split in their last week of play toppling class B Mission and facing an upset at home to 10C mates, the St. Regis Tigers.

In Mission on Tuesday, the Scarlets defeated Mission’s Lady Bulldogs 3-1 in a four set match. After taking the first two games, the Lady Bulldogs came back to bite the Scarlets in the third forcing a fourth set which the Scarlets easily overcame.

Becca Whitesell lent a hand to her Maidens throwing in 30 assists and seven aces. Morgan Malatare had 25 digs for her team.

Saturday the Scarlets hosted league rival St.Regis with the Tigers pushing the Scarlets into the 0-3 loss.

Despite the loss, Malatare popped up 15 digs and Bryndle Goyins served a pair of aces bringing the Scarlets to an 8-3 overall season record.

The Scarlets will host Seeley-Swan Oct. 15 and Charlo Oct. 16.
