I want to sincerely thank Gary and Nancy Teggeman for their heartfelt efforts in supporting and fundraising for Mission Valley Aquatics. Several years ago, before we broke ground on the pool, Gary spent endless hours hand-building a canoe to raffle for MVA. Not only was he the builder but also the volunteer who attended community events and the farmers market to sell raffle tickets and talk to people about the great things going on with MVA.
Two years ago when MVA was planning for their first soup bowl auction, Gary hand-built and donated a beautiful kayak for the auction. Once again, on Nov.15, MVA will be hosting its second soup bowl auction, and sure enough, will be offering one of Gary’s custom built pieces of art. This time Gary has hand-built a beautiful wooden paddleboard for the auction. The paddleboard can be viewed in the MVA front lounge.
We give a special thanks to the Teggeman family and all of the members of this community who have supported and continue to support MVA through their donations and time. We invite everyone to the auction on Nov. 15 at MVA to view Gary’s paddleboard and to continue the great community support this facility enjoys.
