t’s been a beautiful fall, and we’re all sorry to see it come to an end, but at least we didn’t have snowy, foggy, or icy roads for Halloween. Now we can look forward to Thanksgiving and there is certainly so much to be thankful for — our families and friends and the peaceful countryside surrounding us under our beautiful Big Sky, for just a start. How many blessings can you count? Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

The foot care lady from Lake County Council on Aging will be at the Arlee Senior Citizens Center on Nov. 17 from 10:30 a.m.-noon. If you find it difficult to cut your toenails, she is very gentle and capable.  Donations are welcome. The foot clinic is sponsored by the Lake County Office On Aging, and is partially funded by monies from the bond issue, which passed last June. Individuals with diabetes are especially welcome as the effects of diabetes often appear in thickened toenails that are difficult to cut. Also, reduced circulation to the lower legs and feet reduces normal sensation in the feet so sores or blisters can become infected without being detected.

Lunches are served at the Arlee Senior Center every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon. Dinners are served at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Saturday evenings of each month.

All meals are served with a main entree, vegetable, fruit, rolls, milk,

juice, coffee or tea, and a dessert.
