RONAN — Well, here we are in the beginning of the first major storm of the season, and I’m thinking about how nice it will be to not have to get up and go to work tomorrow morning. Retirement certainly has its perks.
Don’t forget that this Thursday, Nov. 13, is our evening meal. We will have pork roast and the meal starts at 5 p.m. The cost is only $5 per person and anyone can come in and join us for a great meal.
Cards will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17. The foot clinic will be held from10 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Our Thanksgiving dinner is at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 19. We will serve a traditional turkey dinner with all of the goodies. That is also the day we will have another hat contest. Decorate yourself a fancy fall/Thanksgiving hat and join us for some great food, good friends and just plain old fun.
We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and also the Friday afterwards.
If you happen to be going to the 4-H Bazaar, stop in at our table and purchase some raffle tickets from the center or the Council on Aging. We will be there on Friday, Dec. 5, from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9-4 p.m.
Our menu for the rest of the month is:
• Wednesday, Nov. 12: chicken potpie
• Thursday, Nov. 13: pork roast 5 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 14: potato bar
• Monday, Nov. 17: spaghetti and meatballs
• Wednesday, Nov. 21: a great turkey dinner
• Friday, Nov. 21: fish
• Monday, Nov. 24: pulled pork sandwiches
• Wednesday, Nov. 26: French onion soup and ham sandwiches
• Friday, Nov. 28: we are closed
Since we will be closed on the last Friday of the month, our November birthday dinner will be held on Friday, Dec. 5.
