On Aug. 20, Big Arm held a community breakfast and yard sale to benefit the restoration work on Big Arm's historic school. Despite the very cold chill in the air first thing, we had a wonderful turnout. What a great fun event. Thank you to everyone who attended; thanks for buying the delicious breakfast and buying the wonderful items in the yard sale.
A big thank-you to everyone who was so generous in donating such good quality attic treasures for us to sell; they made many a bargain hunter very happy. A very special thanks to the dozens of volunteers who work so hard to put on the event, especially Joyce Bruner and her helpers and the chefs, Jeff, Roger, Paul and Jim.
We had many requests to repeat this event so we are planning another breakfast and sale in late September.
The next community event will be the dinner and dance at the Big Arm historic school on Sept. 3; everyone is welcome. Call Lee for ticket prices and information at 849-5522.
