HELENA – A former Kalispell school teacher and prominent Polson businessman will help lead Republicans in the Montana House of Representatives in the upcoming 2015 legislative session.

Keith Regier was elected as House Majority Leader and Greg Hertz was chosen as one of four Majority Whips last week.

Regier has served in the legislature since 2008. He has been a Flathead Valley resident since 1974 and spearheaded an effort this summer to get more than 50 questions about the proposed Confederated Salish and Kootenai Water Compact answered before the upcoming session.

Polson’s Hertz has served in the legislature since 2012. He is president and chief executive officer for Moody’s Market Inc., which operates Super 1 Foods in Polson, Blacktail Grocery in Lakeside, and Harvest Foods stores in Ronan, Lolo, Thompson Falls, and St. Maries, Idaho.
