Jerl (Buzz) Lamont Weber
Jerl (Buzz) Lamont Weber, passed away July 17, 2011 at 10:23 a.m., at his home in Soap Lake, Wash. By his side were his 25-year companion Wanda Fencl and his son and daughter.
Jerl was born September 14, 1936 in Pasco, Wash. He was the third child of 14 siblings born to Jerl and Ara Weber. The family moved to St. Ignatius, Mont. in 1940 and again to Charlo, Mont. in 1947. Jerl attended school in Mission, Mont. and graduated from Charlo, Mont.
Jerl went to work for the Boeing Company for four years starting in 1958 before turning to construction work in Idaho building on several of the dam and highway projects.
Jerl married Rhoda Durfee in 1965 and adopted her two children, Rick and Kimmy, as his own.
Jerl leaves behind a loving family and many family who will miss him dearly. His father, Jerl C. Weber, his mother, Ara Weber, and a brother, Charles Weber, preceded him in death.
Surviving Jerl is his 25-year companion Wanda Fencl and 12 siblings. Hazel Trussler of Polson, Mont., Dolly Fite of Stevensville, Mont., Darlene Soloman of Polson, Mont., Rose Noel of Evergreen, Mont., Peter Weber of Nelson, Neb., Eleanor Mitchell of Shelton, Wash., Linda Taylor of Moody, Texas, Lynda Pippins of Temple, Texas, John Weber of St. Ignatius, Mont., Katie Seiler of Rock Springs, Wyo., Melton Weber of Charlo, Mont. and Terry McGuire of Ridgecrest, Calif.
Jerl had two children, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His wish was for cremation and his remains will be laid to rest in Montana.
