Arlee

ARLEE – At Arlee Friday and Saturday, double-doubles by three players helped propel the Scarlets to pick up their fourth and fifth wins of the season, bringing them to 5-1 overall, 3-0 in conference play.

Friday the Scarlets slipped by Deer Lodge with a fourth quarter sneak attack, outscoring the Lady Wardens in the final frame to secure the 38-31 win.

Violet Pablo was the first Scarlet to record a double-double in the two days of big Scarlet numbers, netting 17 points and snagging 11 rebounds for her team. Also chipping in for Arlee was Bryndle Goyins with 14 points of her own.

In another home bout on Saturday, Goyins and Carly Hergett recorded double-doubles to lead the Scarlets to the 36-24 victory over 14C foe St. Regis. 

Goyins cleaned up with 11 points and as many rebounds while Hergett recorded 10 and 10.

The Scarlets will take on the Lady Bulldogs in Mission Jan. 9 and then on to Noxon Jan. 10.

Charlo

NOXON – At Noxon the Lady Vikings kept a flawless season record sparkling, grabbing their sixth win after delivering a crippling blow to the Lady Red Devils. The win brought the Lady Vikings to 6-0 for the season, 3-0 in conference play.

In Saturday’s stomping against Noxon, led by Shayna Nagy’s 21, the Lady Vikings logged 10 athletes netting points in a 62-6 pulverizing that the Lady Red Devils were helpless to defend. 

After a first frame 25-0 spread, the Lady Vikings didn’t let up throughout, securing the league victory.

Madison Foust, next high scorer, chipped in eight for the Lady Vikings.

Charlo will host Superior Jan. 8 and Granite Jan. 10.

Mission

FLORENCE – At Florence on Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs kept it tight going into halftime,5 even with the Lady Falcons, but fell by only three after a good fight in the 41-44 loss.
Lady Bulldog Irene Lopez led her team in points with 14. Trinity Lewandowski and Emilie Charlo combined for 22 more with Lewandowski netting 12 and Charlo 10.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Arlee Jan. 9 and then head to Missoula to face Loyola-Sacred Heart Jan.10.

Ronan – Polson

POLSON – After a slow first two frames at Linderman gym on Saturday, with both teams going to the halftime locker room with only 14 on the board, the Maidens pulled ahead, triumphing over the Lady Pirates to snag the 49-32 non-league win.
The Maidens put up 22 points in the fourth to secure the victory, nine netted by Maiden Lee Camel. Camel has a team-high 15 for the game. Aspen Jore chipped in 13.
Marlee Congdon led the Lady Pirates in points with 11. 
The Maidens will travel to Deer Lodge Jan. 9 then on to Troy Jan. 10. The Lady Pirates will host Columbia Falls Jan. 10.

Two Eagle River

VICTOR – At Victor on Saturday, a big fourth quarter run by Victor’s Lady Pirates forced the Lady Eagles into a game of catch-up in a game Two Eagle River never quite got on top of. The Lady Eagles fell 25-32 in the non-conference contest.

Despite the loss, Lady Eagles Casadi Wunderlich and Shay-Lyn Andrew combined for 20 points, each tossing in 10 apiece.
The Lady Eagles will travel to St. Regis Jan. 9 and then will return to host Superior Jan. 10.
