This is in response to the letter to the editor about “Same sex marriage really the same?” I am totally in disgust someone could write such a spiteful letter. First of all, gays do not intentionally seek to make their lifestyle and behavior normal — they are normal. Second, public schools do not promote or encourage various forms of sexual behavior, they accept everyone as they are and promote and teach safety in whatever they do. You prove to me that the public schools encourage children to experience various forms of sexual behavior.
I can understand everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why be so hateful about something you know nothing about. I am a mother of a gay son. I am so proud of my children, gay or straight, it doesn’t matter, they are normal, smart, loving, caring individuals that are very successful and happy. You tell me how it’s affecting you? Are you happy? I really don’t think the end of the world is near.
