Reynold John Unger
POLSON — Reynold John Unger, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at his home surrounded by family from cancer.
He was born Jan. 22, 1930 in Poplar to John and Minnie Unger.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW and a council member and elder of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Lawrence Unger.
He is survived by wife, Sylvia Joanne Unger; children Elaine (Bill) McLean, Karen Nunn, John (Sandra) Unger, Paul (Kristen) Unger, and Sandy (Tim) Webb; sisters Marie Leivestad, Martha Kroemer, and Rosalia Skaar; brother, Edward (JoMay) Unger; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 20, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. M. Kaarre officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, or Partners Home Care.
