Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases for March 27-April 2:
Derrick L. Mikesell, 29, pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $100 and $35 in court costs and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended. He forfeited bonds in the amount of $2450. Mikesell also pleaded not guilty to speeding, exceeding restricted/special zone speed limit. He was fined $60 and $35 in court costs. Mikesell also pleaded not guilty to operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. He was found guilty.
Brenton Ma Stanley, 28, pleaded not guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and fined $250 and $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. He may serve 6 days house arrest in lieu of 2 days in jail.
Kevin James Allensworth, 22, pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was fined $100, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 6 days in jail with all suspended.
Emily Rose Higgason, 20, pleaded guilty to following too closely, reasonable and prudent. She was fined $50 and $35 in court costs.
Thomas Henry Tibbles, 20, pleaded not guilty to reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $200, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 87 days suspended.
Brandon W. Dunkerson, 20, pleaded not guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was fined $400, $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended.
Gracie Lynn Sartori, 26, pleaded not guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. She was fined $400, $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended.
The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Joseph A. Saunderson, 53; Michael Sanchez, 54; Marie Christine Gill, 56; James Frederic Hill, 67.
The following individuals were found guilty of seatbelt violation: Samantha Michelle Vulles, 20; Jason Wray Overmier, 43.
