POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center welcomes Penny Charrance, Nurse Practitioner to Polson. Penny is a provider in the walk-in clinic. She has a both a bachelor’s and master’s of science in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas with a background in emergency care. Penny worked for 11 years as a nurse/paramedic for aeromedical, seven of that for Life Flight in the Houston and Galveston Texas area prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.
Penny moved to Polson with Einstein, her 70-plus pound Labradoodle. Penny has one daughter, Amy, son-in-law Eric and granddaughter Kira Grace in Memphis, Tennessee.
Fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking — especially with her granddaughter — movies, musicals and painting keep Penny busy when not providing care at Providence St. Joes.
Penny has been visiting Northwest Montana for the past five or six years and living in Polson is a dream come true. She chose to work at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center because of its strong reputation and a fondness for smaller hospitals. She emphasized the main reason for her choice was her personal alignment with Providence’s mission to put patients first and treat with compassion and optimal care.
