Editor,
Polson Running is wonderful to work with. They are truly focused on getting folks of all sizes, ages and gender to get up and move. They are all about promoting health, fitness and nutrition to our community members and they also donate monies earned from their races to non-profit organizations such as my Cub Scout group, Mission Valley Aquatics, the local food pantry and so-on. These people have the “big picture” and have a good step forward to achieving their goal. I encourage everyone to sign up for a walk/run in the near future.
I think the term, simply amazed, describes how I feel about our local businesses that donated to our March Meltdown, Cub Scout cause. I know that we are going through tough economic times and yet these businesses pulled through giving what they could. I am greatly appreciative of that dedication to our youth.
Last, but not least, I want to mention the great turnout. I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. We had 152 runners. Way to go. We had some people join us all the way from British Columbia. People are catching on to the fitness movement. I loved seeing people pushing their little kids in strollers and their older kids walking/running right next to their parents. This is what it is all about. Getting outside, exercising and being with your friends and family makes a healthier you.
