News from Montana Lottery

HELENA – April ended on a wild note for Jerry Fisher of Ronan. He claimed the $635,000 Wild Card jackpot from the April 28 drawing, with a ticket purchased at Town Pump, 5310 Grant Creek Rd., Missoula.

The news still hadn’t sunk in for Fisher, who checked the morning paper and found out he had a big winner. He “almost fell out of his chair with surprise,” and decided to drive straight to Lottery headquarters to claim his prize.

Fisher plans to pay some bills and buy a new motorcycle with his winnings.

Wild Card drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night with a current jackpot of $200,000.

The Montana Lottery was created by referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid more than $483 million in prizes and returned more than $217 million to the State of Montana.
