CHARLO – During the 2014 season, the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana initiated the “First Saturday” program for local artists to bring artwork to display throughout the day and be on hand to for the public to meet them in person. This was a popular event with visitors and museum staff alike, and was a great opportunity to become familiar with some of numerous talented individuals that live in the Mission Valley.

The museum will feature five artists during 2015 with the first featured artist being Charlo artist Olivia Olsen, who teaches art at The Red Poppy in Ronan. Olsen is an accomplished artist in many mediums, and teaches plein air workshops during the summer months. She will exhibit a selection of plein air oil, acrylic and encaustic paintings as well as a 3-D western collage. Stop by to say hello to Olivia and enjoy her art from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6.

The museum is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturdays and group tours may be scheduled by calling 406-644-3435.
