Editor,
After 27 years of bringing high quality and diverse entertainment to the Mission Valley, the Big Productions Performing Arts Series has come to a close. Big Productions was founded by Chas Cantlon, who worked passionately and vigorously to provide our communities with an array of performances, all the while keeping the series affordable and attainable to all community members.
Big Productions was most recently a fundraiser for the Cantlon Family Youth Home (formerly Lake County Youth Home) and as executive director I ran the series for the last two seasons. I would like to sincerely thank all of the concert supporters for their years of dedication and for filling the seats rain or shine. The series would not have been possible without the committee members who volunteered countless hours to ensure the shows ran smoothly, many of whom had been with the performing arts series since its founding in 1988.
The major sponsors and co-sponsors deserve a tremendous shout out as they truly made Big Productions a reality year after year. This year’s major sponsors were: Access Montana, Anderson Radio Broadcasting, Inc., Don Aadsen Ford, H&R Block of Polson and Ronan, and Mission Bay Realty. We sincerely thank you for your generosity and support.
The Big Productions committee members have graciously stepped up to continue the performing arts series, under the new name Mission Valley Live. MVL will be an independent non-profit organization and will not be affiliated with the Cantlon Family Youth Home. These folks have already poured a tremendous amount of work into gearing up for next season and they are sure to deliver a fantastic line up.
Once again, thank you to the Mission Valley community for their years of love and support of the Big Productions Performing Arts Series.
