Sanders County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accidental fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday evening near Sloan Bridge, west of Ronan.

The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Little Bitterroot Road near Sloan Bridge at approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24.

“No names have been released,” Rummel said. “I want to talk to the family first, but it remains an active case. At this point, we’re looking at it as an accidental shooting.”
