Beverly Joyce (Mocabee) Linse

RONAN – Beverly Joyce (Mocabee) Linse, 77, of Ronan, has passed away.

It was with heavy hearts and much sorrow that we said our final farewell to our beloved Beverly on Thursday, June 25, after she suffered severe head trauma from a fall.

Beverly was born on Dec. 3, 1937, to Finley and Ruby Mocabee, in Garryowen, Montana. The family lived to numerous places in Montana and moved to Ronan in 1953. She graduated from Ronan High School in 1955, married Dick Linse Aug. 12, 1956, and they had three children. She worked at Ronan Telephone Company starting at age 16 as a Girl Friday, then as a switchboard operator. She retired as the office manager after 48 years. Upon retiring from the telephone company, she worked hard on the Linse ranch helping with calving, haying, and most of all she will be remembered for her fantastic cooking.

Over the years her home became a home for many foreign exchange students, foreign agricultural workers and foster children whom she loved to cook for and fuss over. They would still return to visit her and bring their own families to meet her.

Beverly’s parents; husband; infant son Robert; brothers Cecil, Francis, and sister Janet all precede her in death.

She is survived by brothers Lance (Leah) and Rick (Emily) Mocabee; sisters Jane (Bob) Davisson and Marty (Bill) Burrell; sons Gregory (Cindy) and Tom (Mona); grandchildren Tyler (Caiti), Taylor, Bob (Candace) Fisher, Ryan (Jenn) Fisher, Brad (Jennifer) Fisher and nine great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her newest great-grandson Easton brought tremendous joy to the last nine months of her life. Her special friend Marvin Carlisle gave her much laughter and fun memories.

A memorial service will be held at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church (Post Creek Hill) on Thursday, July 2, at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. A private family burial will take place later.
