Overturn laws unjust to preborn babies

Jan. 22 was the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision in which it became legal in this country to end the life of a baby in the womb.
My condolences to all parents who were coerced into this deadly decision and lost the chance to contribute a beautiful, unique individual to this present earth, though they can take heart that their precious little ones are now safe.
It is interesting that this grim anniversary was just two days after the remembrance day for Martin Luther King, Jr., one who was such a champion for the rights of all people, including the preborn. We can be thankful that his daughter, as well as many others, has taken up the fight to save these most oppressed of all Americans. But, as it was true in the days of the oppression of many other Americans, so it seems to be today, that sometimes it takes a long drawn out battle to overturn unjust laws. And then, on the other hand, some causes seem to at least be legal.
It would be so much easier, if you were a homeless cat. There’d be no lack of rescue, so may organizations would go to bat.
Hey, it would be a cinch if you were a starving dog to solicit anyone’s support, like falling off a log.
Just think of the press if you were an endangered owl. There’d be a televised outrage, and many would call foul.
Can you imagine the uproar if you were a threatened whale? Most every reporter in the country would tell the tale.
But the sad fact is, you are none of those, though you are just as alive, and beautiful as a rose.
Our government turns its head because you’re a preborn baby. A chance it hasn’t given; a hope, so far, not maybe.
