Editor,

I figure I could spend the rest of my life arguing about “biblical marriage.” To me, marriage is two people who love each other endlessly. So, who cares if it’s two guys, or one guy and one girl?

What grinds my gears the most – religious individuals claiming they know what God loves and what He doesn’t. If the Bible is correct, God made all of us, and correct me if I’m wrong, but He didn’t make a mistake creating His children.

So, let’s all realize, yes, same sex marriage in every state is now legal. Even if you’re losing sleep over it, trying to shove a very old book down a “non-biblical” person’s throat, you’re not going to change anything. This fight will go on until we realize we are all humans and all deserve love, no shape or form. We don’t have to cause hate towards each other in the process either.

Harvey A. Town, it is not “kind, gracious and compassionate” to continuously judge others because they don’t have the same views as you. If it’s not affecting you, and you aren’t being forced to marry another man or partake in any gay activities, why does it bother you so much? Maybe you should be the one asking God for peace in accepting others instead of going out of your way to put them down.
