Tracey Normandeau

POLSON — Tracey was born Aug. 23, 1965, to Arthur Raymond Johnson and Myrna (DuCharme) Johnson in Polson. On Oct. 6, 2015, she was re-united with her daughter, Rochelle Normandeau; brother, Lance Johnson; first cousins, Cody Conrad, Danielle DuCharme, Kelly DuCharme, Scott Johnson; numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. What a celebration in heaven above.

Tracey attended schools across Montana and Washington as the family worked construction. She was an athlete involved in track, (always competitive in nature, especially with her brothers growing up), loved the world of horses, and was a very gifted artist.

Tracey met and married Kevin Normandeau of Ronan and became an amazing mother of three children. Many of the neighborhood kids looked to her as their mother figure also and called her “Tracey tough as nails!”

She worked various places doing jobs from nursing to cleaning to restaurant management and then taking an extended break from the working world to take care of her daughter who battled against cancer and showed her mother’s same strength and courage. Tracey had a large part in helping raise her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible.

Her story is hard to tell in such a short blip because she had so many attributes, being such a strong, amazing, and loving woman, who did so much in her short 50 years here. Above all else the light inside her stood out during her battle with cancer, a strong warrior, full of energy, and smiles for all. She will be missed by many and loved by all who knew her as she embarks on her new journey with our Heavenly Father and the rest of the angels who have gone too soon.

Tracey’s parents; her children, Chris Normandeau and Cassie Normandeau; and her three grandsons, Daniel, Brent and Troy who adored spending time with her, survive her.

Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at www.thelakefuneralhomeandcrematory.com. Arrangements are under the direction of The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.
