POLSON — If you sued a parsley farmer, could you garnish his wages?
We received a nice note from one of our home-delivered meal recipients telling us how much they enjoyed the meals, tasty and a good variety. We greatly appreciated the comments and it makes it all worthwhile. Thank you, Gene and Kay. We need someone to be a volunteer and deliver those meals.
If you would like to volunteer to be a tax preparer here at the Polson Senior Center, give us a call. Sometime in December there will be a training seminar.
Last Tuesday I had a slow day so I was able to bowl with the (other) seniors. They made a monkey of me or perhaps, I did it to myself. My sweet thing, Fran, rolled some pretty impressive games, taking women’s high game, high series and high handicap series. Jim Funke took all three for the men. The previous week saw Cris Alter and Anita Swope take the honors and Fred Funke had all three for the men.
There has been some interest in having cribbage or backgammon games on Thursdays. If you would like to join in, please give us a call.
Our lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, Oct. 22: Polish dogs, macaroni and cheese
— Friday, Oct. 23: roast pork, shipped potatoes, green bean casserole
— Monday, Oct. 26: Goulash, French bread
— Tuesday, Oct. 27: meatloaf, whipped potatoes
— Wednesday, Oct. 28: boneless ribs, baked potatoes
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
