ARLEE – To give our cooks an extra day off on Christmas weekend, there will not be a fourth Saturday dinner this month. Instead, there will be a dinner this Saturday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Arlee Senior Citizens Center. We invite you to take a break from cooking and bring the family to the Senior Center in Arlee for a home cooked dinner of meatloaf, potatoes and gravy, vegetable, and blueberry cheesecake dessert.
The quilt raffle and silent auction will close on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. during the second Saturday dinner. Hope to see you there. It just takes one ticket to win that lovely quilt put together by Arlee’s very talented quilters, Joyce, Sherry, Connie and Margaret.
Menus:
All meals include a vegetable, fruit, bread, dessert, and the usual beverages of choice.
— Wednesday, Dec. 2: barbecue ribs, baked potato, bread pudding dessert
— Friday, Dec. 4: cowboy beans, cornbread, chocolate pudding
— Saturday, Dec. 5: A one-time only first Saturday night dinner, (this is out-of-sync-with our regular meal schedule) - meatloaf, potatoes, gravy, 3-bean salad, cheesecake dessert (We hope for a good turn out. There’s a surprise drawing for an item we all would love to take home. Something special and delicious.)
— Monday, Dec. 7: French dip, birthday cake, ice cream
— Wednesday, Dec. 9: chicken cordon bleu, salad, cookies
— Friday, Dec. 11: spaghetti with meat, fruit, dessert
— Saturday, Dec. 12: Christmas dinner - turkey dinner with all the usual goodies
— Monday, Dec. 14: pork Chop dinner
— Wednesday, Dec. 16: beef stew and fry bread, dessert
— Friday, Dec. 18: tuna casserole dinner
— Monday, Dec. 21: chicken and rice dinner, blueberry parfait
— Wednesday, Dec. 23: clam chowder, ham sandwiches with rhubarb cake
— Friday, Dec. 25: Christmas Day center closed – Merry Christmas to all!
— Dec 26 No Second Saturday dinner this month. Merry Christmas to our great cooks, Kelly, Sarah and Rochelle!
— Dec 28 Chef Salad, soup, peach cobbler
— Dec 30 Stroganoff Dinner, brownies
