Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Nov. 2-Dec. 10:

Eric Melvin Templeton, 28, pleaded not guilty of driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and fined $250 and $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended.

Laura Michelle Phillips, 36, pleaded guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, second offense. She was fined $1000 with $400 suspended and charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 days suspended.

Emily Christine Pinkston, 31, pleaded not guilty to failing to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, second offense. She was fined $500 with $250 suspended and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 10 days with 10 days suspended.

The following individuals forfeited a $20 bond for seatbelt violation: Kimberly Marie O’Farrell, 18; William Benjamin Howell, Jr., 72; Wayne P. Hobbs, 63; Christopherson Charlo, 66, Charles Havens, 67.

Dylan Mcmanus Stinger, 25, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $600, $85 in court costs and sentenced to 160 days in jail with 159 days suspended and 1 day credited.

Mark William Ardis, 25, pleaded guilty to theft, obtain or exerts unauthorized control over property, first offense. He was fined $500, $85 in court costs, $81 in restitution, and sentenced to 5 days in jail.

The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Randy Jay Baxter, 50, fined $95; Daniel S. Clark, 43, fined $65; Courtney Kathryn Arthun, 30, fined $20; Jimmie Ervin Sevre, 69, fined $20; 

Emilee Rea Stenberg, 19, 55; Luke F. Audrain, 29, fined $65; Tanner Kyle Hobbs, 19, fined $105; Ginger Nicole Wersonick, 30, fined $20; Eugene Howard Ashby, 43, fined $85.

Brock Matthew Short, 46, forfeited a $125 bond and $35 in court costs for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.

Steven Lloyd Smith, forfeited an $85 bond for basic rule, reasonable and prudent, first offense.

Thurlowe Arthur Scudder, 78, pleaded guilty to careless driving and was fined $50 and $35 in court costs.

Charles A. Rains, 47, forfeited a $135 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to obtain landowner permission for hunting.

Charles Henry VanLear, 26, forfeited a $100 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to tag. VanLear also forfeited a $135 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to obtain landowner permission for hunting.

Jamie Collin Smith, 33, forfeited $50 and $35 in court costs for improper passing, in no-passing zone.

Lee Edward Mock, 45, pleaded not guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and fined $250 and $35 in court costs. Mock also pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was sentenced to 2 days in jail and 6 days of home time.

Michael David Baird, 36, pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $250 and $35 in court costs and sentenced to10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

Steven Blaine Mikkelsen, 43, pleaded not guilty to partner or family member assault, causing bodil injury to partner or family member. He was found guilty and fined $100 and $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 364 days suspended and 1 day credited.

Carla E. Nicosia, 18, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for following too closely, reasonable and prudent.

Chase Joseph Rhine, 18, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was fined $50 and $35 in court costs.
