Board should run project, not politics

“No”gotiate: Negotiating means to work to an agreeable end and unfortunately Dick Erb’s negotiating is like a football coach who has his team punt on first down, you never get in the game.
You would have thought he would have mentioned that he read the Project Management Entity draft, evidently he has not. It closely follows the old Cooperative Management Entity, but with changes to be negotiated now, not later. With the old CME a four to four vote kills the motion. With the Bureau of Indian Affairs as chair there would never be a tie vote, which way do you think the BIA will vote? With all that has passed between the Flathead Joint Board of Control and Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes/BIA I highly doubt a board made up of individuals from the three groups could operate the project without politics pulling it apart again. Let’s set up a board that will run the project and let the FJBC and CSKT/BIA deal with the politics.
As to Dick’s election jabs, my one and only response is that I believe when running for an elected office one has to take a loss with the same dignity as a win.
