Editor,
I ask believing Christians, what do you think of the world today? In view of current events, at home and abroad, do you feel that as followers of Jesus Christ it is time to come out of the shadows and proclaim the word? Do you allow the cloud of uncertainty generated by the politically correct and gray area believers to distract you from the pure doctrine of Gospel? If you have read this letter so far and think the author is a wingnut, then by all means, stop reading and drive safe. For my brothers and sisters in Christ, this letter is an open question of faith. In fact, it is one big question: Why?
Why as Christians, do we allow our faith to be marginalized by a handful of elitists who use the freedoms our nation was blessed with by the very God they deny? Why do we allow our elected officials, school administrators, appointed government employees and other self-made notables deny us access to public venues for proclaiming God and the moral values He commands us to follow? Why when Christians ask for a moral accounting are we called bigots, racist, Nazis, etc.? No man is forced to believe in Jesus; on the other hand, no Christian should be asked or willingly condone the actions that are being forced on us by those who deny Christ and believe their intellect is superior and subordinates our spiritual directives. Why do nay-sayers like to quote a single line of scripture to support their view? As followers of Christ we know that Jesus is God, and His Word is final. Taking a word or line out of the context of the command is a challenge to His authority. I repeat — Jesus is God, we and our intellect are nothing. In the last days who do you want to protect your eternal soul, God or the intellect of the P.C. crowd? As Christians when we stand before God, our Savior will stand with us. Why then as followers of Christ are we so timid in standing with Him?
There is no gray area.??
