Dallas Paige Cox-Sias

RONAN — Services for Dallas will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church on Terrace Lake Road in Ronan. A potluck reception will follow.

The day was bright and beautiful on April 19, 2012, when I arrived on the scene. My parents, Jeriko Sias and Frank (Anthony) Cox, were very happy and excited to have a beautiful daughter. I entered this world weighing 9 pounds, 13 ounces, crying and wiggling. Mom and Dad loved me dearly.

Many wonderful experiences would become mine in my short life. My daddy and mommy gave me all kinds of toys as a baby – dolls, rattles, etc. They dressed me like a doll and Mom fixed my hair whenever she took me places.

As I got bigger, the front yard was full of my toys – a tricycle first and then a bicycle – a fancy pink one with streamers and decals, a swimming pool, and other outside toys.

My parents introduced me to my grandparents, LaWanda and Joseph Sias and Theresa Selgado and Isabella Barnes. My time with them was fun. We would play, tease one another and read books and of course they loved me lots. Some mornings I would wake Grama Wanda by coming running through the door and jump on her lamp and tell her it was time to get up. Grama Wanda always told me she loved me to the moon and back. She would give me lots of hugs and tickle me and laugh and play.

Papa Jody would take me everywhere he went. When Papa came home from work on Friday afternoon I would run out the door when I heard his pickup and meet him. He would pick me up and say, “How’s my girl?” I couldn’t wait for Papa to come home. Papa also let me ride Stiff Arm his horse. I would fly across the pasture enjoying every minute.

At Great-Grama Ann Sias’ home I had lots of fun – stomping in mud puddles, petting the horses and Grama taught me how to climb her spiral staircase, which scared Mom. Mom couldn’t watch me but I thought it was fun.

Grandma Isabel took me swimming, shopping and to play at the park. Sometimes my cousins Skylar and Peyton Sias would stay overnight at Grandma’s with me. We enjoyed our time together. Peyton said we were special friends.

Walks were fun with Grandma Teresa. We got the mail, found flowers, built fires in the fire pit and washed dishes and made cookies. We enjoyed each other.

We had family dinners on holidays with Grandpa Jim and Pat McAlpins’ home. All my aunts and uncles and cousins would be there so we played all afternoon.

On Nov. 9, 2015, my beautiful life ended and I joined Jesus in heaven. I am living with Him now, playing on streets of gold and living in a beautiful home, which Jesus prepared for me. My Grandpa Herb Sias is here and he tells me stories and plays with me.
