Judge Justin Bartels dealt with the following cases Jan. 1-31:

Christopher Garylee Byker, 23, pleaded not guilty to partner or family member assault, causing bodily injury to partner or family member. He was given a deferred imposition and fined $250 and costs of $463 and sentenced to 365 days in jail with all suspended. 

Randy Eugene Trahan, 59, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid drivers license. He was fined $100 and $35 in court costs and sentenced to 6 months in jail with all suspended.

Elizabeth Jeanne Swope, 60, pleaded not guilty to careless driving. She was found guilty and fined $100 and $35 in court costs.

Joel Allen Smith, 35, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, third subsequent offense. He was fined $500, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 6 months in jail with all suspended.

Alexis Bailey Taulbee, 16, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was given a deferred disposition and fined $35 in court costs.

Cherie Ann Schilling, 35, pleaded not guilty to failing to have vehicle fully equipped with 1 or 2 tail lamps. The case was deferred by the prosecutor.

Clinton Alexander Creech, 30, pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limit. He was fined $50. Creech also admitted the crime of criminal contempt, which was dismissed by the court.

Patrick H. Maddison, 32, pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limit. He was fined $85. Maddison also admitted the crime of criminal contempt, which was dismissed by the court.

Cameron Wayne Schmidt, 32, forfeited an $85 bond for speeding on Interstate urban, exceeding night limit of 65 mph. Schmidt denied the crime of criminal contempt and this was dismissed by the court.

Eric Parker Mosley, pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limit. He was fined $85.

Katie Scarlett Westberry, 17, pleaded guilty to an offense against special stops and yield right-of-way. She was fined $50. She also pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limit. She was fined $50.

Drew Sequoiah Davis, 16, pleaded guilty to failing to have 2 headlamps properly operating on motor vehicle. She received a deferred imposition of sentence.

Kurt Sorenson, 55, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid drivers license. He received a deferred imposition and was fined $185, $50 in court costs and sentenced to 6 months in jail with all suspended. Sorenson also pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limits. He was fined $50.

Ruth Caparoon, 74, forfeited a $85 bond for an offense against special stops and yield right-of-way.

Christopher Dean Scott, 23, pleaded guilt to careless driving and was fined $50.

George Arthur Hendrickson, 63, pleaded guilty to an offense against special stops and yield right-of-way. He was fined $50. Hendrickson also pleaded guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. He was fined $250, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 10 days in jail with all deferred if he brings in 6 months consecutive insurance.

Jodi Lynn Daniels, 40,pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limits. She was fined $50. Daniels also pleaded guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. She was fined $250, $35 in court costs and sentenced to 10 days in jail with all suspended.

Jennifer Byers, 61, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit. 

Jamie K. Olson, 19, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit.

Amy Sarah Miller, 41, pleaded guilty to an offense against obedience to speed limit. She received a deferred imposition of sentence and was fined $50.

Debbie M. Owens, 57, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit.

Mary Lou LaDue, 61, pleaded guilty to open container, public drinking, vehicles. She was fined $50.

Ann Laurie Fleming, 59, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit.

Kristin Suzanne Kyllonen, 19, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit.

Justin Kyle Sherman, pleaded guilty to tobacco possession or consumption, under the age of 18 years, first offense. He was fined $50.

Michaela Cherie Blevins, 19, forfeited an $85 bond for an offense against obedience to speed limit.

Austin Reese Lilly, 21, pleaded guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was fined $600 and $85 in court costs and sentenced to 6 months in jail with all suspended. Lilly also pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was fined $50 and $35 in court costs.
