POLSON — Little known fact: Mahatma Gandhi did a lot of walking, often without shoes. He had serious calluses on his feet. Because of his meager diet he was quite frail and it contributed to his bad breath. He was a super-callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
The hearing clinic will be on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

Frani Basta and Keith Ross edged out all competition at last Tuesday’s senior bowling. Frani swept the high game, 228, series, 577, and handicap series 739. Keith’s 232, 644 and 734 took the men’s division. On one of those rare occasions when yours truly could bowl with them, I rolled a 230 game, tying with Don Young.

— Friday, Feb. 19: Swedish meatballs, noodles. Yah sure!
— Monday, Feb. 2: Navy bean and ham soup
— Tuesday, Feb. 23: barbecue ribs, baked potato
— Wed., Feb. 24: hash brown bake, link sausage
All meals are accompanied with vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
