Ryan Dresen of Ronan, left, came in second place at the Montana American Legion High School Oratorical Competition in Belgrade on Sunday, Feb. 28. Dresen, being presented with a medal and a $750 scholarship by Department Commander Jim Grosset, edged out third-place winner Tanner Condit of Frenchtown. First place winner Michael Fuller of Helena earned the right to represent Montana at the American Legion National Finals April 15-17 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The competition sponsored by the American Legion of Montana and its 134 Posts located throughout Montana.
