Dean Lee Weber

MISSOULA — Dean Lee Weber, age 28, passed away March 3, 2016, at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula. He was born to Tim Weber and Sheila Lund Weber on Jan 18, 1988, in Missoula, where he was raised and educated at Hellgate Elementary and Big Sky High School.

Dean was born with a rare genetic disorder that made his life a constant challenge, which he met and frequently conquered.

He was involved in Special Olympics for 19 years and participated in horseback riding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, bowling as well as track and field. He made a multitude of friends and continued to prove his determination to succeed. The variety of award/medals he won showed his ability to tackle difficult situations.

In 2006 he moved to Missoula Developmental Corporation Service, “Easy Street Group Home” and remained there until present. There he was blessed with love and support. He had a job at MDSC’s Center on Marshall Street.

In Dean’s short life, he reached out and touched the hearts of many. Through his determination, he earned the love a large variety of people, starting with his immediate and extended family, the schools he attended, the Special Olympics family, the adopted family at MDSC and Easy Street Group Home and even the staff at St. Patrick’s Hospital, where he spent most of the last few months of his life.

Dean continues his giving and loving by being an organ donor with Sight Life.

Cremation has occurred and his services will be March 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lion’s Den Ministries at 1900 W. Broadway, Stop 4 in Missoula.

In Lieu of flowers a donation may be made to MDSC, 1005 Marshall Street, Missoula, Montana, or the Montana Special Olympics.
