Kimberly Gene Labbe Johnson

POLSON – On Saturday, March 5, Kimberly Gene Labbe Johnson passed away after her fight with cancer.

Kim was born on March 16, 1962, to George and Marilyn Labbe in Moses Lake, Washington, and was one of three children. At a young age Kim’s parents taught her about Jehovah God and how much he cares for us. That love was reflected in how Kim always treated people.

As Kim grew up she learned how Jehovah’s qualities are seen in creation and she loved everything about nature. Whether she was spending time fishing with her husband, sitting by the lake sharing an ice cream cone with her daughter or strolling on the beach looking at sea shells, she loved Jehovah’s creation. One of the biggest things that Kim loved was the hope that is set out for our future in the Bible. She loved to share one of her favorite scriptures Revelation 21:4, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”  Kim enjoyed telling people about this hope and spent a lot of time going door-to-door teaching from the Bible. Kim spent a good portion of her life always trying to take care of everyone around her. She viewed that as part of her worship to Jehovah.

Kim's mother, Marilyn Labbe, preceded her in death. This hope from the Bible helped give comfort to Kim that she would see her mom again. It helped her to deal with her sickness knowing she would be asleep in death but would be resurrected to a paradise earth.  This hope has given her family tremendous comfort knowing she will not be suffering anymore but will be brought back healthy and strong.

Kim is survived by her father George Labbe and his wife Mary from Salem, Oregon; her brother Terry and his wife Celia Labbe; her newphew Jason Labbe and his wife Summer and their two children from Belle Fouche, South Dakota; her sister Dana and husband Gary Licking from Buffalo, South Dakota; her daughter Amanda and husband Chris Marengo from Polson; her husband David Johnson and his son Sheldon and wife Kelsey Johnson from Polson and their daughter Sierra and husband Andrew Rickert from Kalispell. Also, one of her favorite people in the world was her only grandbaby, Bellamy Johnson, plus many other relatives from around the country.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in on Saturday, March 19, at 2 p.m. If you would like to learn more about this hope that has helped Kim and her family through this hard time, please join us.
