My name was among 70 others who appeared in Ronan City Court, along with our age and offense. There is something amusing about an old woman getting a speeding ticket for going 25 mph. The offense happened at 9 p.m. in front of the high school — no kids, no activity, no cars. The officer informed me that it is a 24/7 speed zone. It smacks of a speed trap to me, but hey, he was just doing his job. There are serious concerns about criminal activity in Ronan and in the valley. I hope those engaged in activity outside of the law get the same scrutiny as speeding Grannies. Just saying.
